I usually don’t read books with plots such as this one; for some reason however, I felt compelled to open this story and do it justice. While the plot is not as strong as the others in the series, the characters are incredibly vivid and their dialogue is so much fun to witness and be a part of that you feel like you’ve been part of the family the entire time.

Instead of glossing over a crucial period in the story, it was drawn out in exquisite detail to add suspense and chills. With a gun to my head and the threat of never eating a slice of cake in life ever again Ren and Cade explode in an act of passion that sends them both reeling. I think I love this book the most in the demon cowboy series!

When he finally gets over that nonsense, Caleb starts resisting the relationship because he feels unworthy that goes on for a good portion of the other 3. My only issue with this book was it was a little drawn out, the author could’ve cut back on the sex scenes and the constant references to Jake’s dead wife was over the top and annoying. He doesn’t want to fall in love again and has shunned even a simple date, let alone something more with a woman. If not for the long winded back and forth of guilty feelings from both Caleb and Jake, this would have been a 5 star read.

Caleb needs a foreman, and Jake needs a job that will get him off the rodeo circuit.

It’s just a matter of time before they can’t resist each other and engage in romance. This is definitely the epitome of a Gay For You read.
